Our history

My wife, Jo-Ann, and I have served in Greece with Hellenic Ministries since 1996, and we have enjoyed years of service together raising four kids and growing the Maritime Ministries arm of Hellenic Ministries.

Our vessel, Morning Star, has been used extensively in evangelism, discipleship, and building up of believers first in the Pacific, and then in Greece since 1995. Literally countless young people have been mentored and discipled in their faith over the last two decades.

Since the passing in 2006 of my father, Costas Macris—the founder of Hellenic Ministries—we have yearned for the next phase of Maritime Ministries and are excited to see God at work in this new season.
