Meet the team:
Alex Macris is the captain of the 52 foot schooner “Morning Star.” He is married to Jo-Ann and they have 4 children. Their desire is to instill in every way possible in their children the joy of serving the Lord as a family.
Cameron Springthorpe was a commercial captain and yacht surveyor, while his wife, Abi, was a Chief Stewardess. Together they had a career in the luxury yachting sector. Today Cameron is the development and networking director of Broad Reach Maritime and lives in the UK.
"Dolphin3" is the boat donated to Robert and Danielle Feddes, for the purpose of joining Broad Reach Maritime. We expect their arrival in Greece in the summer of '24.
Dutchmen Rick and Annemick van Wingerdeen with their sailboat "Jireh" wish to be God's provision to people and are partners in the development of Island Reach.

Παρ'όλο που μας αρνήθηκαν την άδεια για την εκδήλωση με το Morning Star, πήγαμε στην Χαλκίδα για να ψάλλουμε και να δώσουμε φυλλάδια. Όταν φτάσαμε άρχισε να βρέχει... αλλά μετά που προσευχηθήκαμε και ρωτήσαμε τον Θεό τι μας ήθελε να κάνουμε, η βροχή σταμάτησε. Παρόλο που υπήρχαν ελάχιστοι άνθρωποι τριγύρω εμείς ψάλλαμε Χριστουγεννιάτικους ύμνους και δώσαμε φυλλάδια στους περαστικούς. Ενθαρρυνθήκαμε γιατί σκεφτήκαμε ότι ο Θεός δεχόταν να κάνει κάτι θαυμάσιο με τα λίγα μας "ψωμάκια και ψαράκια". Επίσης περάσαμε πολύ όμορφα με τους εθελοντές που ήρθαν μαζί μας. Μόλις το πρόγραμμα τελείωσε απολαύσαμε ώρα συναναστροφής με τους εθελοντές και στη συνέχεια κατευθυνθήκαμε προς τα αυτοκίνητά μας, ενώ η καταρρακτώδης βροχή άρχισε ξανά και συνεχίστηκε μέσα στην νύχτα! Even though we were denied our permit with the Morning Star, we went to Halkida to sing and pass out tracts. When we arrived it started to rain...after praying and asking God what He wanted us to do...the rain stopped. Although there were hardly any people, we sang Christmas carols and gave out tracts to those that strolled by. We were encouraged that God was accepting to do something great with our "few loaves and a couple fish." We also had a great time together with the volunteers that showed up. We would like to inform everyone officially, that our permit to express the birth of Christ through the Christmas Boat outreach has unfortunately been denied. No explanation of why, was given. However, we believe God has desired for us to share the same hope of His birth through a different way this year. Μπαίνοντας στον Δεκέμβρη, ήταν μεγάλη μας χαρά που είχαμε μαζί μας φοιτητές από το Ελληνικό Βιβλικό Κολλέγιο οι οποίοι ήρθαν για μια εβδομάδα εκπαίδευσης και προσανατολισμού/ενημέρωσης στα πλοία μας. Αυτοί οι φοιτητές έχουν διαλέξει να κάνουν την πρακτική τους στην διακονία με την Broad Reach. Ο στόχος ήταν να τους εκπαιδεύσουμε στο να βοηθούν ως ικανά μέλη του πληρώματος, καθώς ετοιμαζόμαστε να φιλοξενήσουμε ομάδες στα πλοία κατά την διάρκεια όλης της επόμενης χρονιάς. Η πρώτη φάση της εκπαίδευσης περιλάμβανε το να γνωρίσουν τα συστήματα στο πλοίο, πλοήγηση, καθώς και την νοοτροπία μας ως προς τον τρόπο διακονίας αυτών που φιλοξενούμε πάνω στο πλοίο. As we entered into December, it was a joy to have students from the Greek Bible College come for an orientation and training weekend aboard both our vessels. These students have chosen to serve their christian service with Broad Reach. The goal was to train them in helping as competent crew, as we prepare to host teams aboard, throughout the upcoming year. The first phase of training involved - getting to know systems on board, navigation and our ethos on how to serve those we host on board.
